Trade Schools for Sale offers accredited training programs designed to equip students with practical skills for the workforce. Our courses cover a variety of trades, including plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, and more, ensuring you gain the expertise needed to succeed.

A trade school (also called a vocational school, technical school, or career college) is a school that teaches the practical skills needed for a specific job or trade, rather than offering a broad academic education.

Instead of spending four years earning a bachelor's degree, students typically complete training in 6 months to 2 years, depending on the program.

Common trade school programs include:

  • Electrician
  • Plumber
  • Welder
  • Automotive technician (mechanic)
  • HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) technician
  • Carpenter
  • Cosmetologist or barber
  • Dental assistant
  • Medical assistant
  • Practical nurse (LPN/LVN)
  • Computer support technician

Advantages

  • Shorter programs than a traditional college.
  • Lower tuition costs in many cases.
  • Hands-on training focused on real-world skills.
  • Students often enter the workforce more quickly.
  • Many skilled trades are in high demand and can offer strong salaries.

Trade school vs. college

Trade SchoolTraditional CollegeFocuses on one career Broad academic education Usually 6 months–2 years Usually 4 years for a bachelor's degree More hands-on training More classroom-based learning Often costs less Often costs more Prepares you for a specific job Can prepare you for many career paths or graduate school

Trade school can be a good choice if you know what career you want and prefer learning practical, job-specific skills. Traditional college may be a better fit if you want a wider range of career options or plan to pursue professions that require a bachelor's or advanced degree.

Trade Schools

Trade Schools are  a type of educational institution, which, depending on the country, may refer to either secondary or post-secondary education designed to provide vocational education or technical skills required to complete the tasks of a particular and specific job. In the case of secondary education, these schools differ from academic high schools which usually prepare students who aim to pursue tertiary education, rather than enter directly into the workforce. With regard to post-secondary education, vocational schools are traditionally distinguished from four-year colleges by their focus on job-specific training to students who are typically bound for one of the skilled trades, rather than providing academic training for students pursuing careers in a professional discipline
